U.S. men's national team legend Michael Bradley has been named head coach of MLS NEXT Pro side New York Red Bulls II.
Bradley worked as an assistant on Jesse Marsch's Canada staff during the June international window, and previously worked as an assistant coach under his father, former USMNT coach Bob Bradley, with StabƦk.
His illustrious playing career ended in 2023 when he retired professionally.

We see him as a promising coaching talent and look forward to supporting his development as he transitions to a career behind the touchline.ā

Bradley competed professionally for 20 years, beginning his career with the Metrostars – who are now the Red Bulls – before joining Dutch club SC Heerenveen. After, he held stints across Europe in Germany with Borussia M'Gladbach, in England with Aston Villa, in Italy with Chieva Verona and Roma and in MLS with Toronto FC – where he ended his career.

His coaching staff will consist of Assistant Coach Daniel Gutierrez, Goalkeeper Coach Miguel Gutierrez, Athletic Trainer Arjend Emini, Strength and Conditioning Coach Hodong Cho, and Video Analyst Liam Akhras.

Bradley recorded 151 caps for the USMNT, scoring 17 goals in the process. He featured at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups for the USA.
